Raised in Hawaii, Kim came east to attend the University of Pennsylvania where she studied Design of the Environment, Penn's undergraduate architectural design program. Deciding to stay on the east coast after college, she has worked in the architectural design field both in New York City and Millbrook, where she first visited in 1991.
As a property owner in 1993, then a full-time resident the following year, Kim has seen Millbrook grow and change in the past decade and has joined HW Guernsey to be an integral part of positively influencing the controlled development of one of the most beautiful counties in New York State. Additionally, with her design education creating a unique sensitivity of the importance of land context for the siting of architectural features, offering land and property as a licensed Real Estate Salesperson at Guernsey seemed a natural fit for Kim.
Kim traveled extensively in her life, including Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, West Africa, Europe and South America. As a nationally ranked competitive swimmer, she met other athletes from around the world when competing until her first years in college took her attention to the design studio. Although Kim's athletics are now centered around any tennis court she can get near, she has seen a lot of Millbrook and its surrounds on horseback with her beloved hunter- jumper, Mentos, and enthusiastically supports all the sporting that Dutchess County has to offer.
